CNC Production Engineer

·Advanced CNC Engineer and Production Process Improvement job with an established engineering business.

·Planning CNC machine routing, optimising CNC set-up processes and work instructions.

·Working with Quality to investigate and non-conformance, closing out remedial action with changes to tooling, machining process, set-up instructions and drawings.

·Lean manufacturing and process improvement of CNC machining and production processes.

·Work with production planners to plan capacity, utilisation and workflow based on team skills, knowledge and equipment.

·Working with design engineers teams to improve CNC machining and reduce difficult handling and machining challenges with improvements to machining processes, improving jogs fixtures.

·Supporting the development of prototype parts and new products.

Salary & Package: Salary £38,000 to £42,000 as a rough guide, plus pension and 25days (+Bank Hols). Monday to Friday daytime role, lunchtime finish on Fridays.

This CNC Production Engineerjob will suit:

·A skilled CNC Programmer / Production Engineer who has used a range of CNC machines (up to 5 axis). Comfortable with either milling or turning machinery.

·CAD CAM experience is required.

·Confident machining high value components using exotic materials.

·Offline programming experience – we are open on which CADCAM package you have used, but Autodesk is an advantage.

·Team player, good communication skills, able to speak with customers, engineers and commercial colleagues.
