Are you an experienced Metrology Engineer or CMM Programmer looking for a new challenge?

We are working with an established precision engineering manufacturer to bolster their metrology team following recent growth. As Metrology Engineer, you will be responsible for evaluating and improving the CMM function. The company use Mitutoyo / MCOSMOS within their metrology department.

Salary & Hours: c£42,000 per annum as a guide.  8:00am to 4:45pm Monday to Thursday, 8:00am to 12:00pm Friday – 37 hours.

This Metrology Engineer job will suit:

• A strong understanding of CMM Programming / CMM Techniques. Experience with MCOSMOS is essential.

• Come from an engineering / aerospace background.

• Someone who is analytical and can evaluate / improve inspection processes where possible.

The CMM Programmer job will involve:

• Compose CMM programs using MCOSMOS/ OGP Zone 3(desirable). Develop evaluate and improve CMM Inspection methods.

• Review the Inspection methods required by the customer drawing and ensure that the customer is aware of any exceptions or design changes that may be required to enable Inspection of the component prior to quotation.

• Deliver CMM training to production operators in order to develop their skills and capabilities.
