• A Chief Engineer / Chief Electrical Engineer with a proven track record of leading engineering teams to deliver electrical design and development projects into manufacturing.
• We are looking for a Chief Engineer / Chief Electrical Engineer candidate that is passionate about leading and developing people to create a proactive, forward thinking team culture. 
• You will be degree qualified in an electrical/electronic engineering discipline.
• The company work on UK Defence projects so it is a requirement of this role that you have to be a sole British Citizen to obtain the relevant level of security clearance.

The Chief Electrical Engineer jobs working Environment, Opportunities and Rewards:  

• The company have full design and manufacturing capability for a wide range of bespoke electrical equipment predominately supplied to the Marine and Defence sectors.
• Design and manufacturing capability covers a wide range of products including power distribution, control and instrumentation panels and bespoke electrical equipment.
• 130 headcount, successful growing business, turnover has grown from £10m to £14m in 2019.  
• They have long term customer contracts with major marine and defence organisations – 5 year order book visibility.

The Chief Electrical Engineer job will involve:

• This is a senior leadership role reporting to and working closely with the Managing Director.
• Leadership, continuous improvement and development of the engineering team and processes.
• Assessing customer technical requirements / consulting with customers to agree technical specifications / project requirements and drive projects forward through the engineering team accordingly.
• Resource planning and management (team utilisation), ensuring all projects are resourced as appropriate.
