This CAD Design Engineer job will suit:

·         You will have experience of working within a Mechanical Design Engineer, Project Engineer or similar mechanical engineering position that has a strong design and project design engineering focus.

·         Someone with CAD / CAE / FEA experience – designing a mechanical product / designing for processes (Injection moulding, castings, forgings, subtractive manufacture).

·         Ideally formal engineering qualifications – HND/HND/BEng/ MEng or similar.

·         You will be able to manage multiple concurrent projects and manage your own time to deliver projects on time and in budget.

The CAD Design Engineer job will involve:

·         Using CAD & CAE to assess safety and functionality of design concepts whilst aligning this to the customer brief.

·         Work with engineering analysis software and perform calculation (FEA Analysis)

·         Being able to work with project stakeholders and communicate expectations and effectively develop design alterations and solutions.

·         Reporting and recording relevant information during the project lifetime (BoMs)

·         Responsible for the ownership, coordination and delivery of engineering design and development projects from concept to delivery.

·         Produce 3D CAD part and assembly models and fully dimensioned 2D drawings.

·         Development of prototypes of new products for testing.

·         Close collaboration with internal teams and customers.
