Electrical Engineering role in the battery power sector.  As a Battery Power Engineering Manager you’ll need an electrical, electronics or physics background and be able to get involved with leading a team in technical support and quality assurance functions for NiCad and NiMH battery technologies used in industrial, transport, uninterrupted power supply and automotive sectors including Hybrid Vehicles and EV Electric Vehicles. 

This is a team manager role, with a need for an engineer and with a working knowledge of battery technology, NiCad, NIMH and the desire to get involved with Lithium Li-Ion battery technologies too.

Battery Power Engineering Manager

·Manage a small team of engineers and technicians.

·Support colleagues and customers with technical issues regarding existing NiCad and NiMH battery solutions for industrial, transport and automotive applications.

·Support colleagues and customers with Li-ion battery technologies and product development of battery solutions for new applications of the battery technology.

This job will be ideal for a person with a degree or similar in an engineering, technical or physics area, and proven experience of supporting colleagues and customers with technical challenges relating to electrical power or battery power solutions for industrial, uninterrupted power supply, transport or automotive applications. If you have team management experience, and the desire to play a role in the development of new battery solutions involving of Li-ion Lithium technology you will find this role very rewarding.

Background required

·Experience and qualifications in electrical engineering, electronics, or something relating to power storage and battery power solutions.

·The ability to manage a small team of engineers in a professional business.

·Experience of supporting colleagues and customers with technical issues such as product suitability and developing solutions to electrical power supply or battery power challenges.

·Supporting customers and colleagues with the development of new solutions to electrical power or battery technology challenges.

£72,000 to £78,000 + car + healthcover + pension
