Applications Engineer role, mechanical engineering product, working as an engineer in the Product Engineer team; involved with receiving customers engineering designs, assessing feasibility, producing engineering bill of materials from the engineering design, and supporting the engineering quote estimating RFQ response from and engineering input.

The job will involve:

Support the preparation of engineering quotes / RFQ’s

Product Bill of Materials from engineering designs, and identify lead times based on previous projects.

Communicate with customers about their engineering design, sometimes attending meetings on site.

Generate engineering documentation such as Bill of Materials, technical materials selection data including approved suppliers and similar documentation concerning costs, technical compliance, certification, third-party involvement, outwork and manufacturing processes.

This job will suit:

•Degree, HND or equivalent in Mechanical Engineering.

•Career experience including being part of an engineering team dealing with customers and mechanical design.

•Experience using CAD 2D and 3D CAD, ideally Autodesk Inventor.

•Excellent communication skills and the ability to manage workloads to meet customer deadlines.
