Service Engineer Manager / Customer Support Supervisor

£30,000-35,000 guideline salary

  • Customer Support is all about spare parts, warranty, service and repair of equipment.  Customer focus, pricing, continuous improvement and business relationships with service engineering third parties are the key focus.
  • Develop pricing for spare parts, warranty and aftermarket servings bundles.
  • Build relationships with third party servicing and repair providers in the UK, USA and other countries.
  • Analyse trends in service requests, spare parts, warranty and feedback from customers.
  • Building customer feedback processes and service engineer feedback processes, and analysing customer satisfaction and product feedback.
  • The Customer Support Supervisor does not manage service engineers.  All service engineering is outsourced to third party service engineer suppliers.
  • The Customer Support Supervisor will be mentored, and there is excellent career opportunity during the next few years.

This Customer Support Supervisor job will suit:

  • A team player, keen to learn, customer focussed.
  • Good levels of numeracy, able to devise pricing plans and understand gross profit objectives.
  • Analytical skills to seek out and analyse customer feedback, and product repair patterns.  Also the ability to communicate data, trends and KPI’s in easy to use format to engineers and colleagues.
  • Ability to be flexible about work hours when dealing with supplier and customers overseas.
  • Able to travel to visit suppliers in the UK, and occasionally overseas (e.g. the USA), and comfortable with taking a front row role in video meetings with suppliers and colleagues.
  • Some team leadership skills would be helpful, but this is not essential and I a skill that can be developed.
  • The Customer Support Supervisor does not manage service engineers.
