Key Responsibilities – Applications Engineer / R&D Engineer

As an R&D Applications Engineer, you will:

  • Design and build test rigs and experimental setups for sensor validation

  • Conduct sensor testing, data analysis, and performance validation

  • Support development of fluid sensing, monitoring, and process technology applications

  • Work with internal R&D teams and external engineers on real-world engineering challenges

  • Evaluate applications of bespoke sensors across industrial and process environments

Skills & Experience – Ideal Candidate

To succeed in this Applications Engineer job, you should have:

  • Degree in:

    • Mechanical Engineering

    • Process Engineering

    • Biochemical Engineering

    • Chemistry or related discipline

  • 2–4 years’ experience in:

    • Applications engineering

    • R&D engineering

    • Test engineering or laboratory environments

  • Experience with sensor technology, instrumentation, or fluid systems (desirable)

  • Strong problem-solving and practical engineering skills

  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to engineers and stakeholders

  • Willingness to travel to customer sites and engineering environments
