Key Responsibilities – Applications Engineer / R&D Engineer
As an R&D Applications Engineer, you will:
Design and build test rigs and experimental setups for sensor validation
Conduct sensor testing, data analysis, and performance validation
Support development of fluid sensing, monitoring, and process technology applications
Work with internal R&D teams and external engineers on real-world engineering challenges
Evaluate applications of bespoke sensors across industrial and process environments
Contribute to feasibility studies, product development, and pre-commercial R&D projects
Attend engineering sites, customer locations, and industry events to assess sensor applications
Skills & Experience – Ideal Candidate
To succeed in this Applications Engineer job, you should have:
Degree in:
Chemical Engineering
Mechanical Engineering
Process Engineering
Biochemical Engineering
Chemistry or related discipline
2–4 years’ experience in:
Applications engineering
R&D engineering
Test engineering or laboratory environments
Experience with sensor technology, instrumentation, or fluid systems (desirable)
Strong problem-solving and practical engineering skills
Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to engineers and stakeholders
Willingness to travel to customer sites and engineering environments
