Key Duties Senior Design Engineer

·        Drive quality and efficiency within the Mechanical Engineering team by setting an outstanding example in terms of high-quality design and analysis with your individual work.

·        Perform and guide CAD design, engineering computer simulations, and mechanical engineering related lab experiments in support of design validation and reliability goals.

·        Bring a strong technical expertise during design reviews and problem-solving activities.

·        Deploy state of the art mechanical engineering development practices (such as rapid prototyping, tolerance stack analysis, FEA simulation, etc.)

·        Work package leader for mechanical elements of NPI developments

·        Coaching and mentoring of the local mechanical engineering team

About you / Your background

·        Ideally BEng / MEng mechanical engineering (or similar)

·        A senior mechanical engineer, principal engineer, mechanical project engineer, design engineer or senior design engineer who wants that chance to manage projects (and have cost and budget responsibility for mechanical engineering projects)

·        You will be seeking senior engineering jobs in the Nottingham, Notts, Nottinghamshire, Derbyshire region.

·        Ideally some experience of mechanical design of something that interfaces with electrical (i.e. a piece of machinery/equipment but this is desirable)
