Quality Manager in engineering manufacturing to manage and lead Quality Engineer activities, quality inspection and PPAP APQP processes in an engineering business with full IATF 16949 Quality Management accreditation and a diverse order book in other sectors too.

·Leadership of Quality Inspectors and a Quality Engineer as a Quality Manager with your own team to manage.

·Contributing to continuous improvement, especially Quality Engineering, using PPAP and APQP processes to drive right first time KPI’s, and reduce re-work, scrap and non conformances.

·Lead the Quality Engineering function as a Quality Manager, including overseeing internal audits, driving improvements to SOPs and visual quality prompts for all parts of the product journey.

·Working internally with Production Managers and Supervisors to embed quality processes in stand up meetings, shift briefings and the behaviours across the business.

·Take the lead as Quality Manager with customers, attending video and on site meetings with customers as part of the quality management relationship.

This Quality Manager job will be ideal for

·A Quality Engineer with some team leadership experience, and looking to take their Quality Engineer status to Quality Manager and then continue to grow as part of a leadership team.

·Knowledge of IATF 16949 and or metal products will be ideal. Any welding knowledge is a major advantage. This is a mainly factor based role, but the ability to analyse data and use spreadsheets is also important.

·The communication skills and person drive to constantly improve production engineering and quality engineering standards as part of new product introduction, improving current products, and helping the business to achieve new goals for growth with customers.

£48,000 to £55,000 + pension + bonus
