Quality Assurance Engineer

Potters Bar, Hertfordshire

Quality Assurance Engineer role. Supporting the maintenance of the ISO 9001 quality management system, and supporting internal and external audit processes. There will also be involvement with updating quality assurance documents within the QMS ISO 9001 Quality Manual. This could involve documenting engineering data changes or involvement with quality management systems change requests.

Quality Assurance Engineer will ensure the QMS Quality Management System activities are completed, and that colleagues through the manufacturing engineering business are supported with Quality Engineering and Quality Assurance activities.

•Ensure that Quality Assurance and Quality Engineering documentation is completed, and that all Quality Assurance and Quality Engineering processes required for compliance with the QMS Quality Management System are completed.

•Liaise with colleagues relating to Quality Assurance and Quality Engineering quality concerns which require action and closing out.

•Updating processes to improve Quality Assurance and Quality Engineering processes and documentation/

•Involvement win Internal Audits and External Audits.

Key skills and experience for the Quality Assurance Engineer:

•Understanding of manufacturing quality processes and problem solving tools like 8D, APQP and PPAP.

•Experience in a quality role in a manufacturing business accredited ISO 9001 or to industry specific accreditations like IATF TS16949 or AS9000.

•Experience of quality management systems, and documentation change requests.

•An understanding of engineering, ideally electro mechanical.

•Some experience of quality assurance Internal Audits in the manufacturing engineering production facility.

This job is commutable from Barnet, Edgware, Watford, St Albans, Hatfield, East Barnet, Enfield and the surrounding areas.
