The Role – Production Scheduler / Production Coordinator

As a Production Scheduler within this medical devices manufacturing environment, you will play a critical role in ensuring production activities are effectively planned, coordinated, and monitored across multiple ongoing projects.

This is a highly collaborative Production Scheduling position where you will act as a key communication point between manufacturing, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams to ensure realistic and achievable production plans are delivered successfully.

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor production activities across multiple concurrent medical device manufacturing projects

  • Develop and maintain production schedules to support project delivery timelines

  • Coordinate closely with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and supply chain teams

  • Ensure production plans are realistic, achievable, and aligned with operational capacity

  • Support the efficient allocation of resources within a low-volume manufacturing environment

  • Help ensure products are delivered on time and in accordance with regulatory and quality requirements

  • Support compliance with ISO13485 standards and medical device manufacturing processes

  • Assist in improving planning and coordination processes as the company continues to grow

Your Background – Production Scheduler, Production Coordinator or Manufacturing Planner

To be successful in this role, you should have previous experience within a Production Scheduler, Production Coordinator, Manufacturing Coordinator, Operations Coordinator, or similar planning-focused position within a medical devices or regulated manufacturing environment.

The company is specifically looking for someone who understands the challenges of working within a low-volume, highly regulated engineering and manufacturing operation rather than high-volume repetitive production environments.

Ideal Skills & Experience

  • Experience within medical devices manufacturing or another regulated manufacturing environment.

  • Strong organisational and planning skills.

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and concurrent projects effectively.

  • Good communication and stakeholder coordination skills.

  • Understanding of low-volume manufacturing and product development environments.

  • Knowledge of ISO13485 standards preferred.
