Euro Projects Recruitment is recruiting for a Production Manager job within a growing stainless steel fabrication and food machinery manufacturing company based near Leicester, Coalville, Ashby and Derby.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Production Manager, Fabrication Manager, or Manufacturing Manager with a strong background in stainless steel TIG fabrication, welding, and food industry equipment manufacturing.

The company designs and manufactures bespoke stainless steel equipment and conveyor systems used within the food and beverage manufacturing sector. Due to continued growth and a strong order book, they are looking to appoint a hands-on Production Manager to lead their fabrication and manufacturing operations.

Production Manager Responsibilities

As Production Manager, you will lead a team of approximately 20 employees across fabrication and production operations. The role will focus on improving manufacturing efficiency, maintaining quality standards, and ensuring production targets are achieved.

Key responsibilities include:

• Managing day-to-day production and fabrication operations

• Leading a stainless steel TIG welding and fabrication team

• Improving manufacturing processes and production efficiency

• Supporting employee development, training, and performance management

• Ensuring Health & Safety and quality standards are maintained

• Managing production schedules and workflow

• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across manufacturing

• Managing tooling, PPE, fabrication equipment, and workshop resources

• Working closely with senior management to support business growth

Production Manager Requirements

To be successful in this role, you may have experience working as:

• Production Manager

• Fabrication Manager

• Manufacturing Manager

• Welding Supervisor

• Workshop Manager

• Engineering Production Manager

Suitable candidates will typically have:

• Experience within stainless steel fabrication or sheet metal manufacturing

• Strong TIG welding and fabrication knowledge

• Previous leadership or supervisory experience within manufacturing

• Experience working within food machinery, food processing equipment, conveyor systems, or hygienic manufacturing environments

• Knowledge of production planning and manufacturing processes

• Strong Health & Safety awareness

• Excellent organisation and problem-solving skills
