Notes on this Operations Manager jobs role:

·         Team in total is 20 people

·         4 team leaders (who would be your direct reports)

·         We want a people focused / continuous improvement focused manager

·         Someone used to working in SMEs where you problem solve, stitch things together and look for practical lean improvements to processes

·         These teams are delivering technical service delivery to customers

·         So it’s all customer focused and involved with things that are technical (software, IT, supporting customers with IT tech support plus then a team doing quotations)

·         We are flexible on technical background – you will either have a bit of IT / technical background OR you will just be tech savvy and be interested in IT, software and technology (i.e. a good manager who can pick up enough IT knowledge to be able to credibly manage the team)

·         It’s leadership first though – someone with good change management, a focus on continuous improvement and leading teams – that’s the priority

·         Any lean training would be great. Someone who can look at different teams/departments and make sure things are coordinated and efficient

·         You could be an Operations Manager, Service Delivery manager or just an all-round manager used to working with IT / technology (or an interest in this field)
