This Mechanical Design Engineer job will suit:

• A Design Engineer with a mechanical engineering or electromechanical engineering background.

• Experience of any designing products or equipment related to any of the following would be advantageous… fabrication design, electromechanical design, hydraulics, pneumatics, capital equipment, plant equipment, materials handling equipment.

• You will have a strong 3D CAD background - previous experience of using SolidWorks or a similar CAD software package.

• Any FEA / stress analysis experience would be beneficial.

• We are looking for a Design Engineer who enjoys solving engineering problems and devising appropriate solutions.

• You are likely to hold a relevant qualification (apprenticeship, HNC, HND or degree) in a mechanical engineering or similar engineering or science-based discipline.

This Mechanical Design Engineer job will involve:

• You will be joining an Engineering team working on the development of a diverse range of innovative products that are trusted within their respective industries.

• Undertaking a combination of bespoke product design and development and the evolution of existing trusted products.

• Technical problem solving and the opportunity to propose and devise appropriate solutions.

• 3D CAD design using SolidWorks.

• FEA / stress analysis (if you have experience, training can be offered).

• Support the provision of technical support for customers when required.
