Manufacturing Director with a Production Operations background to manage and lead Production with a focus on productivity, employee engagement, scrap reduction and capacity planning for ramp-up.

As Manufacturing Director you’ll lead a 150 headcount including production managers.  Key deliverables:

Lead the manufacturing team and the production drumbeat with a focus on productivity, scrap reduction and increased output. 

Set high standards for manufacturing staff attendance, discipline and productivity by increasing production staff engagement, and holding team leaders and shift leaders to account on staff discipline, motivation and staff engagement across manufacturing Operations.

Work with the HR Director to ensure production teams can recruit motivated production staff. 

Identify accurate manufacturing capacity.  Identify the required production manufacturing headcount needed, the skills and training required and the manufacturing equipment needed to increase capacity by 50% of current production.

Salary & Package: Attractive package, depending on experience. We anticipate salary of £95,000 negotiable + car allowance + healthcover + pension + bonus.

This job will suit:

·An influential Production Director or Manufacturing Director with a background in manufacturing operations.

·Demonstrable experience of leading a manufacturing function by holding people to account on the basics, and establishing realistic milestones for ramp up in terms of headcount, skills and productivity.

·Good with numbers, questions the data, makes data driven decisions, asks “how do we increase output today”.

·Direct leadership style, likely to be a “red” leadership style with the ability to optimise team performance and development.
