Internal Sales, Trainee sales engineer, Technical Sales, Sales Support job.  Opportunity for Internal sales / commercial engineer to work within a leading supplier of electronic / Automation components who are looking to grow their commercial team. Fantastic job opportunity for an ambitious person to develop a career within a modern, professional business.

Ideally you will have some knowledge of Electrical / Electronic engineering, either experience / qualifications or know the basics in electrical principles.You don’t need to be a full blown engineer, either the willingness to learn or already have some basic knowledge.Someone who is comfortable dealing with customers in a professional B2B environment is essential.

Salary: £25,000 - £30,000.Excellent career progression opportunities.Paid training and development. Hybrid working.

This Internal Sales job will suit:

  • You don’t need technical/engineering qualifications / experience but you will need to be passionate about learning in this field (Electrical Engineering / Electronic).If you do have qualifications then that is a bonus!

  • Articulate and with strong verbal communication skills, able to build rapport with customers and offer an excellent level of service

  • Strong written communication skills

The job will involve:

  • Able to assist and support an engineering customer base – with enquiries, new sales leads, technical support, invoicing and other tasks.Providing excellent customer service.

  • Work closely with other teams in the business, External sales, Technical teams, Marketing, taking a collaborative approach to achieve a common goal.

  • Act as a second point of contact to the customers in support of the sales engineers activity

  • Support the business areas customers with quotations & technical data using appropriate communication channels (letter, telephone, email, etc.)

  • Evaluate all incoming sales enquiries and research the companies to decide if salesman follow up is necessary

 

This job is commutable from Leicester, Lutterworth, Hinckley, Nuneaton, Rugby, Loughborough, Derby, Nottingham, Coalville, Market Harborough, Coventry, Bedworth or areas commutable to Leicestershire / East Midlands.
