​Gas Engineer in Birmingham – Industrial Gas Servicing Role – £60,000 to £65,000 Package

We are hiring a Gas Engineer in Birmingham (B66) for a well-established engineering manufacturer specialising in industrial gas-fired equipment and modern hybrid energy systems. This Gas Engineer role offers a total package of £60,000 to £65,000, structured work and long-term career development.

As a Gas Engineer, you will carry out planned servicing of industrial gas equipment across UK customer sites, supported by a knowledgeable team and full training on specialist systems. The role is split between site work and time at base, offering variety and strong technical development.

Gas Engineer responsibilities

• Service and maintain industrial gas-fired equipment

• Follow pre-planned job schedules with clear instructions

• Travel to customer sites across the UK around three days per week

• Work from a Birmingham base two days per week

• Liaise with internal technical teams for support when required

• Participate in annual project work with limited overnight stays

Gas Engineer requirements

• Experience as a Gas Engineer in commercial or industrial environments

• Gas qualifications such as ACS, COCN1, ICPN1 or related certifications, current or lapsed

• Full UK driving licence and valid UK passport

• Comfortable working in industrial environments and on customer sites

• Professional communication skills and a team-oriented mindset

• Willingness to travel and stay overnight on occasion

Salary and benefits

• Total package £60,000 to £65,000

• £45,000 basic salary plus overtime and travel pay

• Early finish at 1pm every Friday
