Excellent career opportunity for a Finance Director or Financial Controller to join an established and successful engineering / manufacturing business at board level.

This Finance Director job will suit:

·        A finance professional already working in an FD / Finance Director role, or it could suit an FC / Financial Controller looking to step up to a finance director jobs role.

·        You will demonstrate both strategic and operational qualities to successful drive forward the finance function of the business

·        We are looking for a candidate who has previous experience of working within a manufacturing / engineering environment (or similar – maybe logistics, construction, industrial etc.)

·        Previous experience of leading, developing and managing a Finance team – this does not need to be a large team as this is an SME business.

·        You have a continuous improvement mindset – ‘be better tomorrow, than today.’

·        You will have gained your professional qualifications in finance / accounting e.g., ACCA or equivalent.

The Finance Director job will involve:

·        Working closely with the MD as part of the Board / SLT

·        Overall responsibility for all aspects of the finance function of the business

·        Provide the business with strategic and operational finance guidance, planning and management – create, develop, implement the vision, processes, procedures etc.

·        Ownership of the annual budget, monthly reporting, analysis, ensure statutory regulations and legislation compliance etc.
