Field Service Engineer – Central England regions

• Field Service Engineer jobs, Service and Repair Engineer jobs, Installation and Commissioning Engineer jobs.

• £35K - £38K salary + £550 per month car allowance + pension + BUPA + lots of excellent product training.

• Role would suit a Service Engineer or with an electromechanical engineering background (70% electrical / 30% mechanical is the rough split in this role).         

• Role is predominately service visits during a standard working day, a few overnight stays required.

• Service visits are generally no more than a 2 hour drive from the Northamptonshire area.   

• World Class technology and product development organisation that supply and support specialist test equipment used the automotive R&D, manufacturing, process and environmental sectors.

This Field Service Engineer job will suit:

• Role would suit a Service Engineer or Maintenance Engineer or Installations & Commissioning Engineer that would enjoy a field-based service engineering role that does NOT require lots of overnight stays.

• The products / equipment are electromechanical test systems used within automotive R&D, manufacturing, process and environmental sectors.

• A Service Engineer with experience of similar types of equipment would be advantageous e.g.  electromechanical systems, gas analysis equipment, instrumentation, speed drive control systems etc…

• You are likely to hold a relevant qualification in an electrical/electronic/mechanical or similar engineering discipline.

• The territory covers the UK but the vast majority of service visits are within a 2 hour drive of Northamptonshire so we are looking for somebody that is probably based in central England e.g. East Midlands, West Midlands, Cambridgeshire, Warwickshire, Bedfordshire, North Oxfordshire etc…   

This Field Service Engineer job will involve:

• To provide planned service and repairs to equipment at customer sites.

• Carry out breakdown cover and planned preventative maintenance at customer sites.

• Ensure high levels of customer service are delivered and maintained during and between site visits.

• Provide telephone support to customers.

• Support the sales and technical teams with product demonstrations and installations.

• Ensure relevant reports / logs / records etc… are kept up to date.
