Electrical Controls Engineer
£48,000-£58,000 guideline plus pension.
•Lead Engineer or Principal Engineer Electrical, Control, Instrumentation and Software engineering role for an Electrical Controls Engineer.
•Working with a portfolio of equipment in an international business designing heavy process equipment for global customers.
•Leadership of the small engineering teams covering electrical, control, instrumentation and software.
•Modern workspace with a culture of bringing people together to solve problems and develop electrical control systems for process plant.
•Team culture is that most people are at the workplace most days of the week; team working and company culture are important, and the facility itself is a great work space. There is a Friday lunchtime finish.
•The team is focussed on delivering current projects and the continuous development of electrical controls solutions, software and data logging in line with the latest technological advances.
Salary & Package: starting salary between £48,000 - £58,000 depending on experience. There is a pension of upto 5%, a fantastic workplace with modern break rooms, informal meeting spaces, modern open plan desking and it’s an early finish on Fridays.
Key deliverables include
•delivering engineering projects on time and to budget, identifying scope-creep and flagging potential project variance to project managers.
•harmonising designs to reduce complexity and increase commonality.
•simplifying electrical controls solutions to improve installation, commissioning and operational uptime for customers.
•Supporting new product development and the integration of new technologies relating to electrical, control, instrumentation and software.
This Electrical Controls Engineer role will suit a degree qualified engineer with experience of equipment design or systems design of process plant equipment. You don’t need to be an expert in all topics Electrical, Control, Instrumentation and Software. The business issues approximately 20-25 design and supply Proposals to customers annually. Each Proposal differs slightly, e.g. 80% standard design and 20% variations to meet customers specifications. So as the Lead Electrical Controls Engineer you will lead the team towards deliverables above as well as contributing in your areas of technical specialism as an electrical Controls Engineer for process equipment.
