An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Design Engineer to join a successful and growing engineering business based in Hinckley, Leicestershire (LE10). This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Design Engineer, CAD Design Engineer, or Project Design Engineer looking to develop their career within a financially stable global engineering group that still retains the flexibility, culture, and hands-on environment of an SME.
This Design Engineer job in Hinckley offers a varied and technically interesting role where you will work on bespoke mechanical engineering and manufacturing projects from concept through to completion. The company offers hybrid working flexibility, excellent training and development, a supportive engineering team, and the opportunity to work closely with senior management to broaden your technical and commercial skills.
The role is commutable from Leicester, Nuneaton, Coventry, Bedworth, Lutterworth, Tamworth, and surrounding areas across Leicestershire and Warwickshire.
About the Company
This opportunity is with a highly profitable engineering and manufacturing business that forms part of a larger global organisation. While backed by the investment, stability, and long-term security of an international group, the local business unit operates with the agility and collaborative culture of a smaller SME environment.
The company is continuing to invest in its people, engineering capability, and long-term growth plans. Employees benefit from working in a close-knit team where their contribution is recognised, while also enjoying the support, infrastructure, and career opportunities associated with a larger engineering business.
This is an ideal environment for an ambitious Design Engineer who wants genuine variety, technical challenge, and long-term career progression.

You will work closely with customers, suppliers, and internal engineering colleagues to deliver high-quality design solutions tailored to customer requirements. The role combines hands-on engineering design work with project coordination responsibilities, providing excellent exposure to both technical and commercial aspects of engineering projects.
This position would suit a Mechanical Design Engineer or Project Design Engineer with experience in manufacturing or mechanical engineering environments who is looking to take the next step in their career.
