Bid Coordinator

The Bid Coordinator will collate information for sales proposals, bids and tenders.  The role is similar to sales support, internal sales, bid coordinator or proposals coordinator jobs.  The Bid Coordinator will ensure colleagues understand the sections of the bid tender proposal they are responsible for, and the deadlines for the bid tender proposal, ready for sign-off by the directors.  The Bid Coordinator will ensure bids tenders and proposals are formatted in the corporate commercial proposal template.  This job supports commercial pricing, sales engineers, and the tenders, bids and proposals support role is a mix of project coordinator and sales support.  Engineering and Finance colleagues produce the costs and design data.  The engineering proposals commercial Proposals Coordinator will ensure that engineering proposals are formatted in the corporate style, and contain the standard template requirements relating to costs, payment schedules, contractual aspects, engineering data and designs.

• Early finish on Fridays
• Coordinating the Bids Proposals Tender timing plan of each proposal to ensure it is submitted on time, with all the required inputs from the engineering team and finance team.
• Preparing the summary of the proposal for sign off by the relevant director.
• This Bid Proposals Coordinator role will suit a person that works to deadlines, influences others to work to deadlines, has an eye for detail and is able to ensure the proposal templates meet data, commercial and corporate style standards. 
• For clarity, the Proposals Coordinator does not need to be an engineer, and does not need creative skills.  This job is focussed on populating the proposal templates with the data produced by colleagues, managing other people to hit deadlines, and some common sense checking of the details before it goes to the director for sign off.

The business issues approximately 20-25 design and supply Proposals to customers annually.  Each Proposal differs slightly; e.g. 80% standard design and 20% variations to meet customers specifications.  The engineering team produce the design, and the finance team input the costs, pricing and financial milestones of each proposal.  This is a successful growing business with great leadership, and opportunities for employees looking to grow their career.
