​Applications Engineer. Bourne, Peterborough

·         Product Specialist, Commercial Engineer, Applications Engineer or similar. This will be an ideal role for an engineer or technical professional who likes to deal with customers.

·         Established, stable and successful business that design and manufacture specialist equipment for the agricultural industry – Knowledge of the farming or agricultural sector will be a big advantage.

·         he product and it’s benefits do the selling, you will need to provide technical guidance and support to customers by providing technical demonstrations. It will be a soft selling approach based on the technical solution.

·         £40K - £45K salary as a very rough estimate but will be dependent on experience + company vehicle + phone, laptop + pension + 25 days holiday and all bank holidays.

This Applications Engineer job will suit:

·         A Product Specialist, Applications Engineer or Service Engineer. A technical professional who is used to dealing with customers and being on customer sites.

·         Any experience within the agricultural sector would be advantageous but not a necessity. Automotive, machinery or capital manufacturing experience would also be well suited.

·         A degree or qualification in manufacturing / engineering / production is desirable but again not a necessity.

·         You will need a full UK driving license.

·         Excellent IT skills with Microsoft packages and experience with an ERP system.

The Applications Engineer job will involve:

·         Visiting customers across the UK and a couple of overseas trips throughout the year, you will be based from the facility in Bourne but the role will be externally focussed.

·         Providing a solution based approach to customers within the agricultural sector – providing demonstrations and giving a technical presentation to potential clients.

·         Provide technical support and assist the technical teams where possible.

This job is commutable from Bourne, Spalding, Stamford, Market Deeping, Peterborough, Grantham, Melton Mowbray, Oakham and surrounding areas
