| Additional Information Our client is creating over 200 automotive research, development and design jobs in the East Midlands, with their investment in a new Research Centre focusing on powertrain, transmission and hybrid electric vehicle technology. To support the launch of this brand new facility, opportunities exist for commercial and technical specialists with experience for the following opportunity: This newly created post reporting to the Chief Engineer will play a key role in the development, implementation and performance of best practice engine calibration solutions. Key responsibilities will include performing calibration work that focuses on new engine programs and powertrain system adaptation to new vehicles; this will include conducting dynamometer-based engine system development activties. There will also be a requirement to specify and manage packages of engine calibration work with external consultancies and test facilities Ideally successful candidates will be experienced Engine Calibration Engineers with a sound understanding of Engine System Fundamentals and the ability to specify and manage packages of engine calibration work with external consultancies and test facilities. Previous experience of using standard instrumentation toolsets for data acquisition and analysis is essential. Degree qualified automotive or mechanical engineers who have developed their careers in an automotive OEM, R&D, engineering consultancy or tier 1 environment are preferred. Qualifications must be supported by relevant recent experience. |
