| Additional Information Our client is creating over 200 automotive research, development and design jobs in the East Midlands, with their investment in a new Research Centre focusing on powertrain, transmission and hybrid electric vehicle technology. To support the launch of this brand new facility, opportunities exist for commercial and technical specialists with experience for the following opportunity: This newly created post reporting to the Chief Engineer will play a key role in component and system engine development for vehicle programmes. Key responsibilities will include engine development and durability test definition and test support, development testing, data logging and analysis. This position will enjoy a close working relationship with Design Engineers and Vehicle Technicians to ensure components and systems meet industry specific legislation. Ideally successful candidates will take a structured approach to solving engineering problems and have gained previous exposure to a combination of the following areas; performance development; air / fuel systems, oil / breather systems; emission / exhaust systems; ancillary and installation systems. Degree qualified automotive or mechanical engineers who have developed their careers in an automotive OEM, R&D, engineering consultancy or tier 1 environment are preferred. Qualifications must be supported by relevant recent experience. |
