| Additional Information Our client is creating over 200 automotive research, development and design jobs in the East Midlands, with their investment in a new Research Centre focusing on powertrain, transmission and hybrid electric vehicle technology. To support the launch of this brand new facility, opportunities exist for commercial and technical specialists with experience for the following opportunity: This newly created post reporting to the Senior Powertrain Design Engineer will play an important role in the concept and detailed design of a wide range of powertrain systems and components for vehicle development programmes. Key responsibilities will include undertaking the design of powertrain systems and components using 3D CAD. In addition the post holder will contribute effectively to team technical discussions to ensure that design projects are completed on time to ensure the successful delivery of vehicle development programmes. Ideally successful candidates will be experienced Design Engineers with previous concept and detailed design of powertrain components and systems. Design Engineers who have developed their careers in an automotive OEM, R&D, engineering consultancy or tier 1 environment are preferred. Qualifications must be supported by relevant recent experience. Degree qualified automotive or mechanical engineers with a natural flair for creating and developing innovative design solutions using 3D CAD would be prefered.
