GROWING COMPANY HELPS NATIONAL FOREST PUT DOWN NEW ROOTS

Rapidly expanding Technical & Executive recruitment company, Euro-Projects Recruitment Ltd. based in Bardon Hill Leicestershire are demonstrating their commitment to The National Forest by planting 10 native woodland trees at Poppy Wood, near Melbourne, on Friday 2 March. The tree species have all been selected to add to the biodiversity and wildlife-friendly habitats on the northern boundary of the Forest.

“We are really pleased to be supporting the expansion of the National Forest in the East Midlands, as it will provide a positive and lasting environmental legacy for generations to come.” Says Stephen Brown, Euro-Projects’ Founder and Managing Director.

Helping out with the planting will be Euro-Projects’ Director and keen amateur horticulturalist Ian Yoxen, who comments. “It’s great to be involved in supporting a project which gives something back to the environment and local community. This woodland will provide a natural local amenity for current and future residents and visitors. I’m ready with my boots and spade.”

The National Forest

The National Forest is a forest in the making spanning 200 square miles of Leicestershire, Derbyshire and Staffordshire. It is the boldest environmental initiative in the country: a project of landscape-scale transformation.

Nearly eight million trees have already been planted – with many more to go. In the region of 400 woodlands have been created, and older woodlands brought back into management.

Euro-Projects Apprenticeship Scheme Reaches New Heights

A new Apprenticeship scheme at specialist recruitment consultancy; Euro-Projects Recruitment Ltd reached new heights this weekend when recently hired apprentice, 19 year old Robert Fairbrother joined Managing Director Stephen Brown and a team of local business and sports people on the 3 Peaks Challenge.

Supported by Euro-Projects Recruitment Ltd in aid of UNICEF’s East Africa appeal, the challenge to complete Ben Nevis in Scotland, Scafell Pike in the English Lake District and Snowdon in North Wales in 24 hours has so far raised over £4,000.

With several former trainees now holding key senior positions at Euro-Projects Recruitment, the company has a track record of developing its own talent.

“Our recruitment strategy is to hire based on attitude and potential. Once we have someone with the right attitude we are able to train and develop them for the future of our business. In this instance I have enjoyed seeing the enthusiasm and determination of our latest employee in aid of an excellent cause” commented Stephen Brown.

‘The Apprentice’ Robert Fairbrother, adds “This apprenticeship scheme provides me with a way into business, which will train and develop me, without the cost of going to University and the opportunity to work my way up through a company with real potential.“

With the cost of going to University prohibitive to many current school leavers apprenticeship schemes are offering a vital opportunity to find an alternative route into employment.
